Media Backup (iOS)
Beginning with version 2.5.2, Downcast's default behavior is to prevent iOS from including podcast media files and images when backing up your device to iCloud or iTunes. This allows users to backup Downcast to retain settings, playlists and subscriptions while not using excessive space in their iCloud account or on their computer.
A "Media Backup" option is available Settings that will allow iOS backups to include media files and images in the backup. While these backups may take up more space, media files will be included when restoring Downcast. This is very useful for podcasts that do not allow the downloading of old or archived episodes.
